We performed transcriptional profiling to test the hypotheses that a) type I myofiber grouping severity in Parkinson's disease skeletal muscle is linked to distinct gene expression networks and b) high-intensity resistance exercise rehabilitation training influences the skeletal muscle transcriptome in individuals with Parkinson's disease.
